At ROLM, we are believers and teachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Plain and simple: we teach and believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, and the only infallible, authoritative word of God. While our focus is on the omnipotence and goodness of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we teach people to be aware that the devil is real.
1 Peter 5:8-11 (New International Version)
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Faithfully we walk in blessings, not in curses. We try to teach those who are walking in condemnation, fear, unforgiveness, bondages of any kind put on them by the devil, to put their trust in God and find rest and peace in His mercy, His grace, and His forgiveness.
Ephesian’s 6:10-12 (NIV)
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Too many people struggle with things in their lives. They are struggling and holding onto things that happened in their past or things that are happening right now in their lives that seem unbearable. We believe and teach that it is in Him that we have and claim the Victory. We teach and encourage people to loose and break the grip that the enemy has on their lives, and to walk in the freedom that Christ has provided and paid for on the cross for all of us who believe in Him.
Hebrews 12:1-3 (New International Version (NIV)
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
To sum it up, the body of Christ (not just ROLM) has been commanded to do these things! ROLM is doing as the Holy Bible commands.
Mark 16:15-18 (NIV)
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Matthew 10:1-8 (NIV)
Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
